A Leader in Aviation Since 1950

The story of Stevens Aerospace goes back to the 1940s, when the Carolinas were the center of the textile world. With 50 manufacturing plants, J.P. Stevens and Company, Inc. had grown to become one of the largest and most diversified textile makers. As air travel to visit the network of plants clustered around Greenville, SC became mandatory, J.P. Stevens recruited a team of aviation experts to maintain and service the company’s small fleet. Soon, other owner-operators were bringing their airplanes to the Greenville facility for maintenance and repair. In 1950, Stevens Aviation was formed to respond to the growing business opportunity.

Today, Stevens is recognized as one of the premier MROs in American aviation, with more than 300,000 square feet of floorspace dedicated to maintaining the most advanced airframes in the world. Longstanding partnerships with OEMs like Garmin, Honeywell, Collins Aerospace and many more, place Stevens on the leading edge of the technology advances that are reshaping our industry.

Expertise and Engagement

But the essence of the Stevens’ story isn’t about size and scale. It’s about the head and the heart … technical expertise combined with a personal touch.

Walk our floors in Nashville, Dayton and Greenville and you’ll sense the quiet hum of teams hard at work. From 30-year vets to our sharpest young minds, Stevens people know their craft. Just as important, they love knowing the customer and talking shop. The qualities that turned a little-known aviation department into a small business in 1950 are still very much alive in 2021. Some tell us it’s this willingness to engage with our customer that differentiates us from our peers.

What we know is this. At Stevens, you’ll find a genuine love of aviation along with a commitment to understand what you want from your airplane and to give you our very best work.
