Stevens Aerospace and Defense Systems, LLC (“Stevens”) announces the opening of its new MRO facility in Nashville, Tennessee at the Smyrna/Rutherford County Airport. The facility provides 57,000sf of operational space with provisions for an additional 40,000sf of hangar space, allowing room for future growth. Stevens held a successful grand opening event earlier this month and started work on customer aircraft the following day. Langston Construction Company of Piedmont, S.C. broke ground in July 2021 and completed the project on time despite significant delays with site access, materials procurement, and permanent utilities. Stevens’ Nashville operation performs maintenance and avionics work on a wide range of aircraft and specializes in King Air, Hawker, and Cessna Citation airframes. “This new purpose-built facility gives us the additional space we needed to hire additional technical and support staff and expand our customer base,” said Kenyon Blacker, general manager of Stevens’ Nashville facility. “The layout of the facility will also greatly improve efficiency, allowing us to better serve our customers.”
